My name is David Kent, owner of DK Tutoring. I am a fully qualified teacher that has worked in education and coaching for over 15 years in a variety of settings. I began coaching sports in schools at the age of 17, taking P.E. sessions for all age groups - primary, secondary and including SEND. This is where I gained the motivation to study sports at university as well as a love for working with children.

After graduating university I worked as a cover supervisor in a Secondary School covering teachers lessons from English and Maths to Art in KS3 and KS4, working closely with children taking their GCSE's. During this time I was also coaching basketball and working with some elite athletes aiming to play at higher levels around the world.

I then moved to London to train as a Primary School Teacher where I worked in some very difficult inner city schools gaining my PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education) and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), focusing primarily on the Primary Curriculum and preparing children for SAT's testing. Still in London I gained a job at a top private boys prep school where I taught and helped boys to pass their 11+ examinations in order to enter their chosen schools. This was also whilst studying for my Masters at the University of West London in Leadership and Innovation.

After 7 years in London I moved back to Doncaster with my wife (who is also a teacher) and son where I have been teaching in Primary Schools in the area for 4 years. I generally love the quest for knowledge that children have and enjoy working with them to unlock potential they did not know they had.

I have been tutoring ever since I started teaching, working with children of all ages from Early Years improving their early reading and Phonics all the way through to preparing for GCSE examinations of all kinds.

My name is Nina Kent and I am a fully qualified teacher in the UK for over 15 years. I have taught in a variety of schools including Independent/Private schools, local authority schools and Multi Academy Trusts. I primarily taught the primary curriculum, specialising in the Early Years. I have also tutored children in preparation for their 7+ and 11+ exams, this has helped them towards their entry to schools of their choice.

The majority of my teaching career has been based in London so I have taught many children with differing abilities, including SEN. I have also taught children whose English is limited and English is their second or third language.

I have recently started tutoring older students, preparing them for their KET (Key English Test) which is also known as the Cambridge English. I have also been healing students in their conversational English.

I love teaching and seeing students develop their skills and knowledge from whatever their starting point is. I ensure that my student feel comfortable to ask me questions, especially if they are unsure. I am a friendly and enthusiastic teacher with years of experience.
